30th IOS Congress, Natal, State of Rio Grande del Norte, Brazil.

6. - 8. August, 2008

The next IOS Congress will be held in conjunction with the Sociedad Latinoamericana y del Caribe de Cactáceas y otras Suculentas (SLCCS) at the venue of the Congresso Nacional de Botânica (CNB) from 6 - 8 August 2008.

The venue will take part at the Convention Center of the Praiamar Hotel. Meanwhile, the official website of the Congresso Nacional de Botânica is online, though, currently exclusively in Brazilian Portuguese (version in English is announced). Information on booking of accommodation is offered through this website. Registration is coming up soon and further information will be provided as soon as available.

Augusto Severo International Airport is located about 10 km from the Hotel and Convention Center, and less than 20 km from the center of the city of Natal.

Excursion in the area of Morro do Chapéu, Bahia, led by Marlon Machado. Flight from Natal to Salvador da Bahia, local travel by minivan, with return to Salvador da Bahia. Costs for the excursion depend on the number of participants, currently estimated at about 500 Euros. Some further details are given here.
